A Would-Be Entrepreneur, But Not Enough Time

Are you an entrepreneur with a passion for charity? I have a passion for charity, but I am not a good entrepreneur--most likely because I have two full-time jobs already which literally absorb all of my time. I have a lot of ideas, though. One of my ideas is to sell used clothes as a fundraiser for the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children to raise money for them.

The clothes in these pictures are from a clothing drive which The St Nicholas Project conducted among the Catholic churches in Vermont this fall. They were all donated by some very generous people and I am very grateful to them. We will probably have enough clothes for two years! My living room has been transformed into a storeroom and I will take them down to the children's home over the course of the next few months and/or years. Yikes!!

While conducting this clothing drive, I heard a story of a young man who made over $75,000 selling clothes on-line. One hears such stories all the time about teenagers making money on the internet. Enterprising young people sell a variety of items and are making thousands, if not millions, of dollars---all on-line.

So, if I had the time, I would love to make thousands of dollars selling things on-line for the sake of charity. There is a market for everything! In the meantime, thank you to all of our St. Nicholas Project donors and friends, who donated so many quality items for the boys and girls at the children's home. They will have some beautiful clothes because of your generosity. You're the best!!!

Please make a donation today to support the boys and girls at the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children by clicking on the icon above. God bless you!
