Have you ever have to wait before giving good news and were just bursting at the seams with anticipation? Did you walk around all day with a big smile? Did people wonder what you were up to?
Well, today I'll tell you my good news. The St. Nicholas Project is changing the lives of children at the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children! How are we doing that? By touching your heart with true stories of boys and girls who come from sad and sometimes dangerous family situations. But you're getting them out of sadness and danger. That's great news if you're a 1st grader and have never had three meals in one day! That's great news if you're a 7th grader and have been bullied and shamed every day at school! That's great news if your home had a revolving door for drug dealers! Because now these kids have a safe, loving home at Kurn Hattin Homes for Children in Westminster, Vermont.
And do you know why I am bursting at the seams today? It's because you, our donors, make it possible. You have such loving hearts for these kids who are too little to take care of themselves. Your donations have provided them with meals, clothes, education and safety. That's a big deal when you're a kid and live with the constant anxiety about surviving from one day to another. That's an anxiety NO child should experience.
