Just Talking.

Updated: Jul 23, 2022

I was recently speaking with a young woman who wants to help us with The St. Nicholas Project. She has a passion for helping children in distress, but she said, "I don't know what to do. I don't know anything about fundraising!" And I said to her, "Neither do I! I'm not a fundraiser."

It's not about fundraising, it's about talking and sharing your enthusiasm. Talk to your friends about the great work that takes place at the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children. Visit their website. Read their materials. Talk with their staff. Go to their concerts and events. Go to their open house tours. Read their 125-year history of taking care of children from troubled families. The more you learn, the more you'll know and then your enthusiasm to be a part of their mission of helping young boys and girls will burn within your heart.

Then, with a heart burning with love, God will touch your soul with grace and an idea to provide something for the children's home Once your friends and family know about your idea and your enthusiasm, then they'll want to be a part of it, too! And before you know it, you're doing something beautiful for God and for the children.

The work of The St. Nicholas Project is not "fundraising," per se. It is just talking with family and friends about our desire to help the boys and girls at Kurn Hattin with material and financial donations--and prayers! It's charity for a charitable institution for children. And, everyone of you can do it whether you live in Vermont or far away. Charity has no geographic borders. So, help us at The St. Nicholas Project simply by talking about us and what we do! God bless you!

Father, as usual your answer was RIGHT on! When we become excited about something; it is contagious. God and Kurn Hattin will come out a WINNER.
