You Won't Need a Camel For This Trip

Today is the Feast of the Epiphany recorded in the Gospel of Matthew which describes the Magi who follow the star until they find the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. They arrive bearing three gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh.

This story contains a beautiful parallel for our St. Nicholas Project donors. It's an inspirational story of curiosity, sacrifice, generosity and amazement.

Our donors usually find out about the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children through word of mouth and that sparks their curiosity to learn more about the marvelous work taking place there for the children from families in distress. Then our donors make a financial sacrifice or a material sacrifice in the form of a donation for the care of the boys and girls. Once they realize how good that feels, they make it an important part of their lives! And finally, they are amazed at how easy it is to do and that the joy of giving feels so good!!

In the Bible story, the Magi's donation for a Child makes them overflow with joy. That is my prayer for you, too, on this Feast of the Epiphany. May all of your charitable contributions, both financial and material, to the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children make you overflow with joy! I love the story of the Visit of the Magi and I love all of our St. Nicholas Project donors. You are the greatest! But the best news is this: you won't have to spend weeks riding on a camel to make your donation for a child. Just click on the Donate icon above! Please make a donation today! Happy Feast of the Epiphany! God bless you!
